Mirror

If I told you that
You didn't come 'into' this world
That you came 'out' of this world
If I told you your creator was
'below' you and not 'above'
If I told you gravity is love
And air is sorrow
Would you try to look below you?
Would you try to be poorer to
Reach the seventh 'land'
Would you sleep on high beds
under higher ceilings?
Oh well! You built these walls
To protect yourself from the winds
And then you built fans inside
I want to stop and laugh
But there's more
If I told you that you could see
In the darkness and that light blinds you
Would you try to look
In the absence of the biggest star?
Now are you wondering why you
Never thought that light is more blinding
If you were all naked, would you stare
At the one with clothes on?
You are so easy that I said "eat" soup
And you "ate'' it
Nevertheless, you can ground as deep
As you can
You can fly as far
As you can
To the core of the earth or
To the core of the sun
You are not going to find God, my child
You wont see what you are looking for
What you will see is that
Darkness prevails in light
And light prevails in darkness
I'll tell you what you'll find anywhere you go...
YOURSELF!

Ice & Fire

All this while I had love
The kind of love
That if my heart was ice,
It would melt
If my heart was water,
Would turn to mist
And reach the skies
Then pour down like rain drops
But his love is not so subtle
It is such.. that
My cold heart was thrown in fire
The flames reached the skies
The clouds were ashes
And even if the Milkyway
had to burn and fall,
The flames would not be extinguished
That's the love that burns in my heart,
Runs through my veins
It is fire in ice.

Snap

And in between all this, darling!
You opened your eyes to..
Your light,your darkness, your smiles,
Your sadness, your numbers,
Your alphabets, your roads, your houses,
Your history, your math, your science,
Your skies, your waters, your wars,
Your friends, your wallets, your plates,
The wine, the meat, Your Gods,
The animals, the birds, the floods,
Your ignorance, your knowledge,
Your love, your hatred, your pain,
Your mirrors, your walls, your suffering,
Your hope, your despair, your race,
Your religion, your father, your family,
Your sunsets, your skills, your questions,
Your answers, your fun, your funeral,
And you closed your eyes.
You open your eyes.... and you close your eyes.
In between IS all this, darling!

Funny train

I miss you more..
When the waters fall
The sky is shedding its skin
The sky bears nothing now
The thunder is the anger
For not meeting its lover
Your chest is so wide that
It has no place for me
Some light I see among the clouds
You are the sky so wide
So clouded yet so clear
So dark yet so bright
So dense yet so light
So harsh yet so soft
If I had to walk over it
If I had to walk over love
Would I breathe or stop
If your love was a train
It would be long
Compartmentalized
And it would sound like
Puff Puff Puff
It would wait for my signal
To start and stop
It would follow a signal track
And deviate when instructed
But your love is not a train
Your love is a hurricane
Without guidelines
Without control
It takes me away...
And I go with it... far away.

Turtle

We are all just knowledge flowing with time
Everything breaks
Everything stops
I can't say I am the time ahead
I could be behind
What we speak of now
Could be what we spoke of then
Do you know? What it could be in times ahead
A shadow of the times behind
All cycles end; except the cycle of wisdom
The warmth of the surroundings..
Is too strong to ignore
The pinch of the pain I feel in my heart
Is too sharp to forget
I feel my blood too, rushing in my veins
How could this be unreal.
Could this be a real thing.

This Love

His skin
Like caramel on ice
His smell
Like flowers crushing under the sun
His voice
Like rain and thunder unite
His love
Like the waves meeting the shore
So content ...but not complete
Wanting more... I see the sky
The stars remind me of the shine
The smile he brings
The touch like dew drops
Filling more colors to my petals
Reaching my roots
Tickling my soul
His love...is such.

The Night

Such is this night
So dark, so starry
Let's fly into the endless time
Come hold my hand

Lift off the ground, your toes
Feel the chill on your nose
'Cause out of all the spirits
It is with you I sail

And I would still choose you
To give a million kisses to
Hugs that warm your caring heart
And touch your lovely soul

Cross your fingers with mine
Let's wander among the lights
Such is the night
So dark, so starry

Disguised

They say that you are born to love...and,
In a war of gender; men despise women and women despise men
In a war of nations; you hate your enemy (men and women)
In a war of religion; you despise a God and even your fellow soldier
In a war of demand; you disdain your family
In a war of politics; you contempt your opposition (family and friend)
In a war of loyalty; you spurn your lover
In a war of submission;  you fight Satan (any form of evil)
In a war of ego; you scorn everyone (anyone)
In a war of self-content; you scorn yourself
You are born to find reasons to destruct
They say that you are born to love.

Change

U don't hear from me and u wonder why
We sail through the storms and it's not that we cry
For time changes everything I knew
But some thing told me it would not change you
But it did indeed and I'll tell you how
The eyes you wiped off tears from once, you made them weep now
When the times were rough and the truth was out
You were glad I was there and I had no doubt
That my place in your world would grow vast with good times coming close
unperceived was the torment that arose
the voice that was once cherished and the eyes that were once admired
Turned into thorns that pricked
At least that was what I presumed from the way u spoke
First I was dazzled and then suddenly I woke
To reality that was so faint and to the world's repress
That now in these merry times why my presence had caused a mess
I did nothing; I said nothing; for silence speaks louder
But it went un observed and blur
I walked away in silence for it was the best I could do
Than staying back in living in subdue
I knew I shall be needed when the times are dark and when the wind is dry
But I didn't stop, because dear, I would never wish for such times to befall upon thy
I still think that no matter what your purpose was for me
Whether it led me to my path or what it made of me
I ought to be glad and grateful,.. for it made me survive tremendous storms
That help I got and the words so strong
In my mind the memories will always remain
After all they are priceless and eternal because nothing else in this world abides
But memories....

Sandstorm

The sun shining at her face, by the side
Of the almost barren well, she sat.
The wind, at times, played with her veil.
Was she a flower or a diamond in the desert?
The water at the bottom of the well sparkled
As much as her eyes, as she dazed at it.
The twinkle in her eyes could not hide
What she was longing for.
Looking up at the clear bright sky
She wished for something from deep inside.
Her wishes were neither plenty nor humongous.
Just a drizzle, of cold rain water, is what she longed.
Suddenly there was a deathly still in the air.
The strands of her black mane stopped to sway.
Her eyes caught a gigantic shadow, far-off.
Like a ghost it advanced and came her way,
Swallowing the camels, the coyotes and the cacti.
Before she turned around and sought an escape,
The sand hurled at her face and the storm
With all its might, tried to take.
But she crouched by the well and waited.
When the wind was still again, she rose
And smiled to herself for her valor.
As she began to dust her veil, she felt on her nose,
A rain drop, and just to be sure
She looked at the sky again.
It was not so bright, anymore.
Not as white as it was, anymore.
Like the sun was timid after catching
A glimpse of her without her veil.
Burying its face in the clouds out of shame.
Sigh! She gasped and told herself
If she had to pay such a price for every wish she made
She’d merrily do so, only if she had many
Such wishes, in the northern desert, to make.
